Our Process
Prepare well

The general process requires that your joinery is cleaned with an organic cleaning solution.

​The surface is then sanded back to remove any oxidation and foreign contaminants. This in turn is rinsed with an alkali wash to degrease and neutralise the surface for painting
Prime and Paint

From here a primer is applied along with 2-3 coats of topcoat in a gloss level of your choosing.

We use high end Marine coatings designed in New Zealand for our coastal conditions.

These coatings have UV inhibitors and non-fading colour characteristics that provide incredible surface and abrasion resistance as well as long lasting colour saturation.
Performance

All painting is performed with the latest portable HVLP equipment at low PSI. The finish is incredible with that showroom look and feel.

We work on sectioned areas so there is little disruption to those in the area.

Is the coating as good as the original powder coating?
We use an advanced 2K component marine coating that is designed for harsh coastal climates and bonds well to the original powder coat.
Will the colour fade?
Our coatings have uv stabilisers that prevent colour fade
Can you do any colour?
We can produce any colour in the RESENE or Dulux range as well as colour match.
How long will it take to recolour an average house
Typically a 3 bedroom standard home takes around 2 weeks to complete a recolour inside and out.
